“FACULTY”
This is an independent Filipino short film by Director Jerrold Tarog. Originally part of ANC’s AmBisyon 2010, the film tackles the state of the Philippine educational system and the Filipino youth in the perspective of two college teachers played by Che Ramos and Bea Garcia.
According to Tarog, he chose to highlight education since “it’s the starting point if you want to try at least to change society.”
The short, which is a prequel to Tarog’s upcoming film Senior Year, also became one of the the very few select entries chosen to be a part of Cinemalaya 2010’s roster of short films.
