I’m currently watching TV Patrol World where they’re interviewing former First Lady Imelda Marcos. The former lady thinks that the Marcos Regime is the Golden Age of the Philippines. I must disagree with such idea..

But, I do agree that Martial Law was never a bad thing.
President Marcos was a very smart person and he declared Martial Law due to the severe riot and chaos there was in the country. After Martial Law, he declared a Snap Election where both candidates, Mrs. Aquino and himself, declared as winner.

Comelec and Namfrel declared Marcos and Aquino as winners respectively.

FYI, EDSA was not a result of Marcos’ want to extend Martial Law. It was the result of Marcos claiming he have won the position of Presidency.
