Common Questions:

Q. Are we limited to school supplies only? The victims need food and clothing immediately?A. Black Pencil Project has no capacity to mobilize resources to provide the immediate and basic necessity of the typhoon victims as of the moment, so we would like to stick to what we do best - pencils, and basic school supplies. Black Pencil Project advocacy focuses on the early learners of public elementary school system - a segment that are very vulnerable especially in cases like calamities.
Q. Who will be the recipients of the BPP Pencil Drive / school materials program?A. Recipients will be pupils from Day Care, Grades 1, 2, & 3 of hardest-stricken public elementary school(s) within the calamity area. Each kid shall receive a complete study kit.
Q. When are you planning to distribute the school supplies? Can we join?A. Study kits will be distributed immediately after the authorities had completed the retrieval, relief and rehabilitation operations. Black Pencil Project will make announcements where and when the outreach program will commence.
