Because someone has to run for president, and the nominees would have to give the public a reason to vote for them. Let’s face it, when running for a seat in the government, you need to tell people what you did in order to woo them over because not everyone is aware of what you’ve done for a portion of Filipinos

we need EFFICIENCY.
Because running for the office requires popularity. The first time we ever saw that JC guy, we were all ‘LOLLLL WHO DA FUQ IS THIS’ because we werent aware of who the fuck he was, and what he did to even have the gall to run for presidency. In order to be voted for, you have to be known. Because it would be a lot more moronic for people to vote for someone they do not even know.
